Bath Time AdventuresIts bath time, he makes sure his favorite toys, are ready for play. Playfully sends his request for bubbles. The Beatles are set to play, I sit quietly, watch and listen, shaving while he pretends, letting water splash on the floor. How can bath time be so fun. He races cars around the rim, sinking them to the bottom of his, of his temporary ocean. Wet faced he says "Look dad I am a fish, you can be the shark". With a mouthful of toothpaste, I give a foaming growl, turning back to brushing my teeth. He can play for hours. Soon Rubber soul is finished. Time to get out, get ready for bed. A short protest comes from his lips, But slowly he gets out, still soapy and wet. Bath time adventures await, for another day. D. Cody Herring Copyright ©2003 D.
