An Unopened Book

He That Taught Me

You stood at the front of the class each morning,
lectured us on things we needed to know.
Through your wisdom we realized
that we didn't know everything.
You made each student feel important,
helped build important self-esteem.
When you taught, you took your time,
made sure we understood.
You help us from getting lost,
in high school trials.
You taught from your heart,
it showed everyday.
You were there for us.
More then a teacher,
you were someone to talk to,
to confide in.
That is what made you great.
