An Unopened Book

It's Not About The Recognition

I may never win a medal,
for being the very best.
I may not be selected,
to rise above the rest.
I may not hear the cheers,
of people shouting my name.
I may never be recognized,
by my words or by fame.
I may not ever hear,
I touched someones heart.
Or know my words embraced someone,
a whole world apart.
I may not ever see the smile,
of those who read my works.
Or see the tears cried,
when a poem I wrote hurts.
I truly hope others,
through my works feel joy.
From my descriptive words,
may they find the light,
that will brighten up their day.
