Medicine For My Soul
He's in the backseat playing 20 questions,
and with a smile I answer every one.
He curiosity cures even my worst of moods.
His laughter is medicine for my soul.
I could sit for hours on the back porch,
just watching him play.
He is the part of me that lightens up my day.
He is my sun shine, my true north.
a compass when I am lost.
His smile brings back hope into my life.
I can't describe the joy,
I get when I watch him sleep at night.
