 Penniluck's legacy

Eighteen Summers

Each time summer comes around
It reminds me of you my dear
For you were born in sunshine
You sparkle more each year.

But this year is very special
For you are now eighteen
All those summers flown away
As if they`d never been

Right back to your birth-day
Yes eighteen years ago
I have stored the memories
I have watched you grow.

Now that you are all grown up.
The time just seems to pass
Yet I still see you in my mind
As a tiny little lass.

With little broken dollies
And big blue eyes so bright
Believing in the fairies
And Santa, Christmas night.

Do not lose this innocence
You had not long ago
Keep something of the child in you
It helps when you feel low.

So happy birthday sweetheart
May all your dreams come true
Don`t wait for it to happen
Sometimes it`s up to you.
