Going Home
Going Home
She looked at the stars twinkling in the sky,
Sadness filled her heart,it was time to say goodbye.
This was the only home she had ever known,
Tears flowed as she realized she was all alone.
The trees seemed to bow to her as she climbed on
up the hill,
Even though it was a summer night, the air had a
definite chill.
She was so weary as she neared her secret place,
The lines of sadness were etched upon her face.
Then a bright light appeared before her,she stared
in awe,
Her late husband stood in the center standing straight
and tall.
He held out his hand for hers and pulled her to the light,
Come with me my love, you'll never spend another lonely night.
She just stared...and he said"God said you were really tired."
"We have eternity together...just as we always dreamed and
desired".
