A Doctor's Patience For His Patients

~THE SIG BOX~

You walk in your doctor's waiting room,
Log in your name and time you've arrived,
Then you sit down and patiently await,
And so are others on the doctor's patients' list today.

You hear people say I've been waiting so long,
And wonder if their patience is totally gone.
Then yet another patient responds, so have I,
And wonder if he impatiently will be saying goodbye.

What can one say while waiting one's turn,
Knowing the doctor is in with patience unheard.
Wish I could stand up and say quite out loud,
I too am a patient, so please just be patient.

I thank you doctor for all of your patience,
I know, I too am just one of your patients.
Yet you put on a great smile so sweetly this day,
And then ask me how are you feeling today.

Nothing anyone one of your patients could say,
Can replace the patience you gave this patient today!
What more can one ask for as you start off with patience,
In the best interest for all of your patients.

I dedicate this especially to you, doctor,
For the sake of all the patience you give your patients.
And this comes from a patient,
Whose patience may not always be so patient!

Your value should greatly be measured for having,
A Doctor's Patience For His Patients
