My Most Memorable Valentines Day

My Most Memorable Valentines Day

"A true poem I wrote for my friend who was with me that night,

but has no memory of it."

It was Valentines Day,and it was a cold and wintry night,

We were driving down a gravel road with very little light.

We were seven teenage kids out to have some fun,

We didn't know any better...we were all so young.

I still remember the fear when I saw the curve ahead,

We were going too fast,I was filled with sudden dread.

The next thing I remember was lying on the cold hard ground,

I could barely lift my head as I tried to look around.

The flames lit up the sky...the screams filled the air,

But by a miracle everyone lived...God had answered my prayers.
