Wish You Were Here, Honest!
Oh we had a lovely time,
Staying by the sand and sea,
But the car kept breaking down,
‘Twas a misery to me!
We went the pictures one night!
Such a smashing film we saw,
Then suddenly a fight broke out,
Near the exit door!
‘Oh God!' We thought; ‘what do we do?'
As the fight got somewhat worse!
So we climbed out of the loo window!
Wow, did our bottoms hurt!
We made a dash for the car,
Locked ourselves inside…
Did we think we were cool or what!
We patter ourselves with pride!
Then the fight spilled onto the street,
As we switched the engine on,
But horror of horrors, it wouldn't start!
This wasn't any fun!
Then it burst into life,
And we turned onto the main road quick!
‘Oh hell!' We cried, ‘Its broken down!'
We were feeling really sick!
Now me my friend and daughter,
We really did agree,
Next time I have an idea…
They will change my mind and kick me!
