 A Sleepless Journey

~THE SIG BOX~

Entered by instruments only man could control,
The fluids began a journey through my unseen veins.
Flowing quickly and invading my private universe,
While my thoughts and feelings were slowly fading.

As I lay still, I heard only silence,
My eyes barely opened and seeing no one,
My arms reaching out while touching no one,
And my voice crying out and heard by no one.
Where are you mother I cried out loud,
You too my brothers are nowhere near me.
Am I lost that you cannot find me,
Or are you so far away that you cannot hear me.

Gazing around with eyes opened wide,
All I could see was the purity of the color white.
Where is this land my journey has taken me,
And what is this bed my torso lays gently on.

Angels were watching you as they surrounded you,
An angelic voice spoke to me as I awakened.
Her smile lifted my shadowed fear,
Knowing I am back from a sleepless journey.

Some time passed as I came to realize,
My guardian angels will never leave my sight.
They surround and hold me with wings so firm,
Such a gentle force I refuse to ever let go.
