Musings by The Poet Loriet

Five Star Sex Mates

In the tiny corner booth,
I sat with my feet propped,
pen in hand, giggling
behind my new Cosmo
as I took the
quiz of the month.

You grabbed it out
of my hand and read,
"How good are you in bed?"
and flipped the page
to see my score.
Your eyebrows raised,
you said, "Wow, baby,
you're off the charts!"

I winked at you,
"Was there any doubt?
I know what you are-
you don't even have
to take the quiz!"

We laughed at our
five star ratings,
anxious to prove theories
that were on the pages
of Cosmo, in black and white-

but later that night,
we learned that they
were capable of
leaping off the page
and becoming glorious
technicolor.
