i thought about introducing the front end of my car to your broad yet elegant trunk
i thought about it..
as razor sharp torment zapped it's way through my brain waves
i thought about the split second, time suspending, crunching of my vehicle making your roots dance with your branches
i could join that ballet as my body soared like the envied bird
(who would leave to let me be the star of the show)
i don't know, i thought about it..
as a torrid rainstorm escaped my eyelids, leaving none to water your leaves
although your foliage could wipe away the last of those tears
i thought about it..
but as i realized i could not offer you my heart
it's already been brutally torn from this empty cage of human emotion
what would your branches embrace then?
