Where Silver Tears Do Rust

Nameless Woman...1999

A rough exterior lined with pain.
A broken heart that pleads in vain.
Aged eyes and spirit bare.
If your looking, you'll find me there.
Nameless woman holds no truths;
Except the sorrows felt in youth;
And perhaps the wisdom gained
Through trials led by roads unpaved.
" My knight, my knight !
To where have you fled?
Perhaps you only existed in my dreams, my bed.
Our castle is on fire; all hearts within ablaze.
Loves embers are quickly growing cold
With the passing of these empty days."
Nameless woman sheds but one tear.
Her rivers all run dry.
The promise of a peaceful life
Was all but a lie.
Trapped within her castle;
Her knight has slipped away;
For in the dungeon of his fear,
With dragons, he doest play.
No longer does she call for him.
He cannot hear from behind the wall
That he has built for pities sake
That he may still stand tall.
A rough exterior lined with pain.
A broken heart that pleads in vain.
Aged eyes and spirit bare.
If your looking,
You'll find me there...
