Don't Return the Gift Unused!
Each day is a Gift from God
Our Divine Benefactor,
Who gives us Life, most graciously
Oh do not be a slacker!
A gift unsued, and set aside
Is but a glaring ingratitude,
To the One who meant you well
It's smacks of being so rude.
Or if it's taken and abused
In ways unhealthy and smart,
It only brings it's Giver pain
And rips at His Tender Heart.
Each Day is a Gift to be used that day
We must use it wisely as we can,
And be thankful we've been given it
According to the Master's Plan.
Use each Day to the Giver's Praise
Show Him you appreciate
The Loving Kindness that He has shown
And His Grace you will generate.
