Eternity is like a moment
within the infinity we seek
A piece of sand next to a mountain
is like an ant hill at our feet
The tear drops of each morning
like the lake so blue and strong
Yet the fragility of friendship
can sometimes sink when wrong
Each path a friend crosses at night
and then comes back once more
All the individuals who pass
enter through friendship's door
Sometimes those doors are strengthened
yet at other times they lose their glue
For like anything you gain in life
you must work toward a balance true
A ship sails on the morrow
with your friend to tag along
Yet something has got between you
and a hole is punctured strong
A mate they found now takes their time
cheating you from your rights
You lash and scream away the warmth
when friendship was strong and bright
All things grow in life
and as they do they change
Yet friendship should grow as well
becoming stronger in every way
Yet jealousy is a sneaky beast
who creeps up in the night
And makes you say and do things
that will never be sitting right
For life revolves around each of us
though the center we will never be
For we are only the center
if the subject is of me
But as the stars creep out to play
and smile upon friends so true
A little star may streak away
for the friendship that's turned blue
