 Hope For Tomorrow
There was an old man whose clothes
looked  ragged and worn
as He made his way down the street
dust settled in the places torn.

He went to the place familiar to him
took out a blanket hidden behind the trash bin
spreading the blanket on the ground
He opened a bible from a disguarded tin.

Remembering how Christ had no place to
lay His head he thanked his father above
for he had a place to come and for the joy
that swelled his heart with love.

As all these hopes and dreams swirled his mind
it brought to his attention who he might care
with hope for an eternal tomorrow maybe
God he might ultimately share.
