A New Day

The sun beams brightly
Through the open window
Children's laughter fills the air,
The warmth from the sun
Fills their bodies
As it brings them to life,
As they frolic in the sun
Colored flowers gently sway with the breeze
Their petals softly tumble to the ground
Each one searching for a new home,
Musical sounds of birds
Singing in the trees
Fills their hearts as they play
Their secret games,
Moving slowly across the rainbow colored ground
They become entranced by the fragrance
Which surrounds them
Filling their minds with wonder
And their hearts with joy
