Tis' my emotions inside,
Perhaps... a hidden disguise.
Whatever the case may be,
It's sometimes an escape from reality.
This world is changing day by day,
It saddens me more than words can say.
The loss of loved ones... and
So much violence around;
Our children aren't even safe...
In their own yards...or on playgrounds.
Drugs and violence are destroying our homes,
I find myself reluctant to answer my phone.
What news will I get from the call?
It saddens me to have to think this way at all.
Something has to change...And fast!
Or...I feel all humanity will be
a thing of the past.
