My Relationship with God

Life would not be the same without the Lord,
He shows why life worth living be restored;
Our joy and our salvation who is our light,
Brightening up my path in the dark of night;
My shepherd for I am one of His sheep,
Who watches and guards me as I sleep;
He pours out His love on my heart and soul,
In times of trouble He is there to console;
Always ready and willing to listen to me,
No matter what the troubles that may be;
He guides me thru with His will and might,
As He shields me from danger of the plight;
He's my Heavenly Father but also my friend,
For a companion is He eternally without end;
He lets me know when I have gone awry,
His wrath comes upon me when I try to defy;
He'll forgive me of any of my wrong doing,
By repenting He'll ensure my soul renewing;
For our love He has made a great sacrifice,
He sent His begotten Son to pay the price.
