Love Letters
Specks of white swirl beneath my hand
As I write love letters in the sand
I know right now you have gone away
Here in my heart...you will always stay
Waves crash by to softly caress these words
Why take them away before they are even heard
Perhaps you are taking them home to him?
Or is it that these words were meant to remain within?
Still I keep on etching love letters in the sand...
I pray some day you will understand
That even though my words can not stay...
My love for you...will never go away
