Brown Eyes

I pick up a looking glass
To see what I would see
Reflecting back before me are
Shimmering tears flowing tenderly
Can someone please tell me now....
Is there anything that I can do...
To stop these baby brown eyes...
From looking misty blue

My heart holds a happiness
I know its there inside...
So why inside that looking glass
Sits a pair of crying eyes?
Perhaps dear love I miss you...
I know that answer is true
Maybe if I think of you now...
These brown eyes won't look so blue

In my mind I hear your gentle voice...
So many precious words you say...
I still feel your arms surround me...
May they never go away
Perhaps dear one I need you
You know that I love you...
Maybe if you were beside me....
No more tears would fall for you
