A Moment In Time

Watching the waves as they dance on the shore
A feeling of peace unlike any before
A light house stands tall, easing the way
Bringing you in, to come home to stay

Imagining again your sweet tender kiss
Brushing my forehead like this playful mist
Oh if only to share this moment with you
Like the depths of the ocean, I also am blue

Feeling the waves as they tickle my feet
Calls of the gulls in their hasty retreat
Sand soft like a pillow, a fanciful whim
Wishing I could be sitting here with him

Words that we'd speak, a gentle heartbeat
To talk of love, bet you're great company
Watching the sun as it falls from the sky
Walking away alone, I can't help but sigh
