One Journey

Tears lay a shroud upon my heart
Loneliness upon me from an internal dark
Seeking the solace of a distant light
Stumbling wearily I press forward blind
Pleading softly for this last escape
My heart is my prison I can not break
Where lies the comfort I search for now
I must find a hope to cling onto somehow
May I find the love that brings me peace
Longing for the keys from this cruel world's release
A journey inside me, a battle within
But with each day in passing...a new one begins
