 The Unfairness Of Angels

Angel of Virtue

On the 8th day God felt so alone
So he created an angel that lived in his home
He crafted a smile that would beam like the sun
And called her his ‘angel of virtue' that would outshine his son
He made the sunsets so beautiful just like her face
And gave her a heart so full of grace
Her laughter, would be echoed at the break of dawn
And her innocence would be like the new baby born
He loved her, this angel that he had created
But in his heart of hearts he knew what was fated
How could he create something so unique
That it brought tears to his eyes when she did speak
He placed this angel upon the earth, and thanked her
And told her to bring her magic to a place called America
As far as I know she still is there?
Touching peoples lives with compassion and care
She is an ageless angel of beauty
Who I must admit has also touched me
I am told that God still weeps as she lives so far away
But he knows she will return to him one day.
