Tell Me Why

Tell me why I feel this way
A dreamer lost in a masquerade
Clutching to the love I want
Knowing that you know me not

So silly all these words of mine
In my eyes a diamond's shine
Is their brilliance lost in time
These whimsical words so fine

Prayers I send now out to you
Tell me why, I do as I do
Maybe it is a lingering faith
Though you've never seen my face

Maybe it's a belief so strong
That makes me carry further on
Maybe its the beauty of your heart
I really don't know where to start

For in his eyes, a stranger I am
But I have come to love that man
My love unhindered he will never know
I'll keep loving him even though
