Questioning Love

You asked of me, this love is how deep?
I answered to you it is beyond the sea
Wider than the canyons with out-spread arms
I fall into it holding no fear of harm

You asked of me, this love is how true?
I answered again, like these tears for you
A heart that tells of its heavenly tale
Like the wind that carries a ship to sail

You asked of me, this love is how right?
I answered once more, it taunts the sunlight
Like heaven and earth it just has to be
This is how it feels, especially to me

You asked of me, this love is how real?
I answered you pleading, like dreams I feel
Like stories of lovers whose hearts are free
Its a simplicity of all that has come to be

You asked of me, this love could it hurt?
I answered in teardrops, as my eyes avert
It is like a moth to the searing flame
If you said good-bye, I wouldn't be the same
