Two Hearts

Two hearts beating softly
Lost alone in the night
Begging for a miracle
To help span over space and time
Solely connected in a dream
Listening for that voice and a song
Reaching out for something
We've needed for so long
Looking for a moment to steal
In mother nature's lonely game
Searching amidst this distance
A woeful heart crying out a name
We know that time is slipping by
Like whispers on the wind taken fast
Someday two hearts will find a light
Then days will stand still at last
