Spiritual AwarenessThe sacred calm of God's still small voice, When it's heard makes my heart rejoice; But many times it becomes overpowered, By all the other noise that has devoured; The wail of the sirens as the traffic roar, A neighbor argues as they slam the door; A lot of interruptions that make you irate, So many noises our ears have to tolerate; Irritations of life that seems to shroud, God's soft voice which isn't being too loud; His whispers are flowing through the trees, The birds sing as the buzzing of the bees; The flowers are blooming as clouds sail by, Hearing nature's sound causes a joyful sigh; God is living and moving as I feel within, My awareness increases under my skin; Throbbing reality of the spiritual sense, Makes an awesome feeling and less tense; Aware that God is here makes me at ease, Knowing that puts on my life a new lease.
