Go Flowing Pen

So now you rest in your sweet solitude
Your precious words misconstrued
Falling on the deafest of ear
Whispering to soft for me to hear

So go flowing pen now into slumber
A battle lost within your surrender
No more words of sacrifice
You've taken your last throw of the dice

How sweet your words came to me
Speaking of love and what was to be
I search for you now as tears are falling
But into the distance you are calling

So I go with you once again
Into your solitude oh flowing pen
Escaping from life and all of its dreams
Far away from the night and sorrowful screams

A deeper sadness surrounding you
Has stained your ink of ocean blue
Your words once written blurred in time
So I go with you now, dear friend of mine
