A Whisper

I hear those words so soft and dear
Like music dancing through the air
I close my eyes and whisper to you
You know my love...I believe in you

Please come back and end this yearning
A familiar flame in my heart sits burning
I could cry a tear for every wish
Come to me love, it's you I miss

If only once to hear those words again
Like a comforting touch from a dear friend
But there can't be love without pain
It would be like laughter in the rain
So I'll wait right here with hope alive
I know you'll be back....I feel it inside
