In These Eyes

Tears have fallen from these eyes
In their sorrow a tale of lost time
A reminder of what once could be
A secret held in silent memories

Laughter can shine from their depths
A fondness shown for a friend
A familiar warmth felt within
A passion burning bright for him

A future there if you can see
Look into these eyes and believe
A truth that speaks aloud with voice
A freedom for you, within a choice

So tell me now what do you see?
Is it the answer that you need?
For you know that a heart tells no lies
I hope you can see that in these eyes
