laughing outloud
in a maddening crowd and
yet they found the jester
me.
bouncing red balls
and watching clowns fall
atop a high wire trick
and the ring master laughs
as the bearded lady passes.
popcorn and peanuts
fill our bellys
fattening for pills
dieting aches
and peptobismal nights
laughing in hysterical company
at the fleeing flea on the wall
flying away seems to be a better way
just watch the jester fall
