What prevents me,
from revealing to you.
The true feelings,
I have hidden from view.
What holds me back,
from showing you,
emotions so strong.
What has held my tongue,
Kept it quiet for so long.
What is it in your eyes,
that holds me in this disguise.
The stillness that prevents
me speak it, say out loud.
Or to bring mention of it,
just bottle it up and ignore it.
