An Unopened Book

The Wise Old Man

He stands up and clears his throat,
No one cares to hear him.
They all  begin to laugh,
They have all heard him
Heard his rambling in the past.

Sit down old man, your time is done,
We don't need your advice.
It's a different age now,
You really wouldn't't know,
What we need to do anyhow.

He fights the tears in his eyes,
He clears his throat again.
Gently leans back his head,
In a raspy voice,
"Learn To love" He says.

The room quieted down; silenced air.
They began to stare at his wisdom,
They were fooled by his gray hair.
"Learn to love, learn to care"

Seems it spams lifetimes,
He knew it has never changed.
If we could listen, only hear
As he shared his wisdom of his years.
