M's Poetry
One Wish
There are things that I wish I could undo
there are memories I want to erase
and some I want to forever hold onto
There are people in my life who make all the pain worthwhile
other relationships I don't know if they will ever be right again
I know I may struggle but I have tried to forgive
the only thing you have control over I have realized is today
tomorrow is an unpromised gift
so my one wish is to live long enough
to right all my wrongs
and try to mend those broken fences
because I don't want to leave everything unspoken
and everything up to chance
forgiveness I believe is the key to true happiness
I have made mistakes, my fair share
I have had daggers thrown into my own heart
but I must remove these in order to ever heal properly
I know it to be true it's been proven time and again
you may hate but in the end love rules.
