Sleepless NightsAwaiting the Dawning of Anew In a shadowy world huddled in a chilly dark, Will the daylight ever come as you remark; Waiting the morning after a night of unrest, Attempted for some sleep trying your best; From silence I wait for the tune of a bird, For it should bring me joy once it is heard; The long awaited sunshine is very near, Daylight will be restored to chase the fear; A night of sporadic sleep soon to give way, To new opportunities filled in a new day; It's always sunrise on the earth someplace, Always someone in despair or disgrace; But after a storm follows the golden path, That is shielded from any storm aftermath; Filled with the sunlight and renewing peace, And ensures the stormy wrath does cease; Till the bird sings I'll enjoy the solitude, And pray to God to end this mental feud; That will soothe my tense heart and mind, And replace it with the love that will bind.
