Virtues Of A Child

To My Precious Angel Crystal!

Sweet reflections of a child
innocent and full of laughter
the sounds of her voice singing
echo in her mom's mind years after.

Thoughts she'd surpressed within
remembered she hadn't forgotten none
of the love, the laughter, and the music
on which her child had once sung.

God had given a sweet spirit
though life was but a short time
the love for him was how she
kept her virtues gentle and kind.

To sing instead of complain
love life each day the same
giving laughter in return for
her daily limitations and pain.

Virtues her mother can treasurely keep
as she learns and presses on life's way
God's joy of song and laughter will
help her get through another day.
