The sunshine's out from the clouds a shimmering watery light
How can seasons change just like magic as if overnight?
The sun that spread warmth through clear blue sky
Seems to have given up and turned his back to hide
As I look out on windswept troubled stormy skies
The leaves on the trees turn brown shrivel and die
The summer has gone they have given there all
They let go of life and to earth they do fall
The colours merge before me cloaked with grey blue sky
Golden, red, yellow, and amber a beautiful sight to the eye
Little clumps of flowers are out there blooming and bright
They still lift their heads to the sunny watery light
Drinking in the last of the summer suns ebbing rays
Before the frost creeps in to end their blooming days
Ah but I'm on the inside warm and looking out
Autumn is upon us, winter is coming of this there is no doubt.
