Confidence in God

Trusting in God

I come to God to find power and be strong,
I come to God for that is where I belong;
He saves me from the deceptive force,
That leaves me weak with remorse;
He helps me to be the kind of person,
Not to get upset or make things worsen;
For knowing that I am confident within,
And with God's help I am able to win;
God's strength to myself be exposed,
To combat ones who are God's foes;
I believe that God is taking from me away,
All negative thoughts that led me astray;
I no longer desire responsibility to shun,
Or to leave any of my deeds left undone;
All fearful and bad attitudes are gone,
Or allow myself to become withdrawn;
God has inspired me to face life now,
To have the confidence to solemnly vow;
Making God's work my project life long,
As joy fills my heart and with a song.
