October

October winds spill from your lips
Chilling her to the bone
Icy daggers of your fingertips
She would rather go on alone

Teardrops wiped frozen in time
A tribute to your steely gaze
Nothing left but a tattered beauty
She doesn't seem to care these days

It was the month of October...
She laid love to rest
Winters grip had touched her heart
She's just a soul frozen...at best
