Quietly I Lay

Quietly I lay in my bed,
waiting for the sun to arrive.
At night I am alone,
with my thoughts,
most of them about you.
Not that I don't mind the thought,
but, it leaves me wanting,
wanting to hold you.
But, you are so far away.
I lay quietly in my bed.
I try to smother the thought of you,
by a movie but, everything I watch, I see you.
I try to pass the time by reading a book,
but, your name spells out,
perfectly in the letters.
So I lay here quietly in bed,
await the rising of the sun.
Thinking of you.
