Poetry of Faith

Most people say that my poems are good,
And that they are very easily understood;
But others asked why doing what you do,
Instead of God and Christ write about you;
Those of little faith they just can't see,
That this is the way my poetry has to be;
They are completely blind from this fact,
That I as a poet is not putting on an act;
For I am showing the true color of faith,
And in no way am I trying to be a fake;
For those of little faith and no belief,
God has given me a new life with relief;
My poetry is about me and not another,
For God is my life and Jesus my brother;
Now I know that there's enthusiasm inside,
But I'm too humble to say that it's pride;
It's just my way to reach out to proclaim,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that I acclaim;
For eternal life is what I really do favor,
Knowing that Jesus Christ is my Savior.
