As Leonard Cohen croons
another melody of depth
inspires me to tell you this..
i look into the pools of sadness
called your eyes
and
your words
and
your screams
tell me you're
displeasure
unhappiness
discontent.
not with me
maybe not them
but
with
?you?
it seems as if it's been that way
for so long..
so long..
you've told
and
not many
may of listened
but
wipe that sweat
that glistens
glows
on your brow
that i see
i would wipe away, but can't..
because you
for some reason
are not ready for me
the love i offer is there
but in your despair
falls on deaf ears
that lead to a
soul
with depth
that seeks depth
but
does not connect.
