I am an individual,
I am not controlled
By one single person,
Although my parents think opposite of that...
I am an individual,
And my mind is my own.
I can think what I want,
And if I choose to say it,
Beware...
I am an individual,
No one can touch me
Because I am untouchable.
I cry when I need to
And laugh when I want to.
I dare someone to say otherwise...
I am an individual,
And I make my own choices.
No one can tell me
To do this or that,
I shall protest simply because
No one has the right to make my choices,
If you do you best watch out...
I am an individual,
And no one can order me about.
I'll get upset if you do
And that is something you don't want.
I can do what I want
Whenever I want
Because I am my own person,
No one can take that away from me...
Am I an individual?
I listen and do what I'm told
Out of respect.
I choose choices
That make others happy and proud.
Someone makes me want to cry
But I hold it in,
As I do with my laughter,
Laughter of which I rarely get to hear.
Am I an individual?
Or do I just wish I were?
