Observational bus ride poetry

I travel past the boarded up shops
With the Kids outside with their lolly pops
Why don't I ever get a lick, from anyone

I look up at the adverts
I can't believe the experts
When I can't even trust myself

I look at the litter in curb
I see the kids smoking herb
Reminds when I was always high

I see the sexy woman in the mini skirt
I see how she loves to flirt
But not to me on this bus

I hear my mobile ring
People pretend they don't hear a thing
Could be an old girlfriend?

I see the many faces of the races outside
As they take their living in their stride
Sometimes, when I look outside
I swear I can see my soul.
