Last To Know

The secrets buried deep inside
was never to be exposed...yes those confidential memos
maybe it could have been provided but who knows?
but it would've been nice to have least been told
now after the towers have collapsed and thousands lost
the truth is finally exposed
too bad we was the last to know

you said it wasn't sharp but it cut our face
the tears fell down like rain
oh God I know it's terrible but I despise this president
the government did know.....we never had a chance did we?
there is remorse but is it because the people now know?

but what about all the lies of yesterday?
the ones that lead and protect brought us to our knees
we had not a clue
until we felt the pain of the bruises
it stays with us as a constant reminder
we was the last to know, as it turned out we suffered the most.
