Heavenly GardensHeavenly Gardens Bountiful Harvest I wanted to see how my garden had grown, To check the progress on what was sown; Looks like the peas and corn ready to pick, Those carrots I better get them real quick; I got my baskets out to start on my harvest, Such bountiful harvest that God has blessed; I dug up all of the yams and sweet potatoes, Picked from the vines the ripened tomatoes; Climbed the trees for the apples and pears, After done I looked next door to see theirs; My neighbors had nothing but some weeds, Couldn't tell where he planted his seeds; There is no doubt of the main reason why, Everything that he planted just had to die; Not a single time did I see him cultivate, No wonder with the way he parties so late; Never has he either read a Bible or prayed, For this type of life God has been betrayed; God gives us a garden to nurture and care, A bountiful harvest from love that we share.
