Peace of GodLet the words of my mouth and meditation, Be acceptable and be free from temptation; The Lord is my strength and my Savior, And I will continue to be for Him a warrior, Preserving the peace by preparing for war, If any foes of God come through the door; I meditate as I find confidence in my deeds, Replenishing strength to meet my needs; My peace that I give is deep from the heart, Protected by a warrior shield not to depart; In the center of a storm to surround life, A peaceful calm that's bombarded by strife; Tension and anxiety are shielded from view, By the peace in my spirit flowing through; God's peace is firmly in my heart to reign, Peace that's also in my mind for to remain; Peace is God's gift under His salvation, That builds on solid rock in His foundation; I speak of these so you may have the peace, Being of good cheer even before war cease.
