Ghost Mist

(Spooky things here at home)

I feel a presence drift into the room
Carrying an aged smell, a sweet perfume
Are you watching over me in slumber tonight?
Or is it fear that wakes me out of spite

A misty haze is all I can see
Stood down the hall...just inches from me
Could this place be your dwelling....
A spiritual host
Are my eyes decieving me again...
Are you a lost spirit, a ghost?

Icy coldness brushes my skin
But I know the fires burn brightly here within
I wish for the morning...
Just to only see your face
Are you a memory my mind brought forth...
Never to be erased?

Slumber still stolen I watch with held breath
Eyes that dare not to close...not 'til you've left
Do you bring me a message?
Is this why you insist?
Or are you waiting for me to join you...
To walk amongst ghost mist
