Where Silver Tears Do Rust

Bitter - Sweet Kisses
Dancing upon the winds of time are the words spoken by lovers who are no more; and all of the promises ever spoken are scattered in the heavens among the stars. The bitter - sweet kisses of new love are now mere memories brought to mind as whiskey is sipped by candlelight.
Soft, fragrant petals of pink roses now wilt and their scent fades into yesterday, as all things cherished must. Cradles are rocked and lull-a-byes are sung in anticipation; awaiting a new life who will give and accept love unaware of its sacrifices. As time passes, this child will grow, as we all must; learning about sacrifice, love, loss and friendship. He or she shall cast words into the wind, see promises in the starry eyes of a lover and taste the bitter - sweet kisses of new love. In saying good- bye, I shall cast my yesterdays into the winds that they may rest for an eternity and be swept into the heavens. When I greet each new day, I shall think of you and know that we both tasted love; that the child in you needed time to grow. Perhaps someday, I shall again awaken to the starry eyes of a lover and taste the bitter - sweet kisses of new love. Perhaps someday, I will make that decision. Perhaps. Someday...
